Here’s something to consider. Disney is giving first responders and teachers discounts at the theme parks. There are 8 hotels with reduced prices, some at $79 a night. Disney is also including a coupon booklet for restaurants, golf course, and other merchants. It’s Disney’s way of showing appreciation to teachers and first responders for being there during the pandemic. The discounts are good through July 14.
Speaking of vacations, one of the local tv newscasts was doing a story on travel and summer vacations last night. They were talking to a local travel agent. I think she said that pretty much everything in the Caribbean is sold out through December. A co-worker is going to Italy next month. He said plane tickets cost five and a half grand each. It’s starting to look like a lot of local road trips for families this year.
