I picked tonight’s positive story because it’s about reaching out to help across completely different backgrounds. In fact, across completely different species.
Tonight’s story is about a dog saving a drowning baby deer. So, yeah, I kind of picked it because of the cuteness overload factor too.
The dog, Harley, saw a baby deer struggling in the water of a Virginia lake. The deer was pretty far out too. Harley’s owner says that the dog was 200 feet off shore when he noticed what was going on.
Harley swam to the baby deer then guided it back to shore. Once back, the fawn was having trouble getting up the rocky ledge, so Harley helped there too, nudging her with his nose.
Then the fawn’s mother came by and took her away.
It didn’t end there. The next day, the fawn came back to the house near the lake and made noises until Harley came out and said hello with a nose touch.
His owner got pictures of all this. They’ve been shared on Facebook hundreds of thousands of times. You can see BY CLICKING HERE.
