Serena Williams announced that she isn’t planning on being in the Olympics this year. It has people in a tizzy. Jenny and I were talking about it last night because people seem to think that since it’s Serena, well then, she’s automatically going to charge in to the competition. But she’s a person with a family and a life. As Serena said, “I’m actually not on the Olympics list. I don’t really want to.”
I mean, I’m sure she loves doing it, but she’s been one of the top players since 1995…… 26 years now. Ever since she was 14. The lady deserves whatever “me” time she wants.
I can’t imagine if I was expected to do what I do best every time some kind of big event featured it. I’m talking, of course, about making mac and cheese.
