McDonald’s is adding doughnuts to their menu. And not just any kind of doughnut, they’re “pull apart” doughnuts. Or, as the rest of us like to call them, monkey bread.
Maybe not monkey bread, but the same concept. Monkey bread has nuts in it, and are very sticky all over. These pull apart doughnuts look like they’re basically rolls that baked together at the edges and then were glazed over with powdered sugar glaze. Or, kind of like a group of doughnut holes that you bought and threw in one sack. Then, when you went to take them out, they stuck together. McDs is saying they are light and fluffy. So, probably just like Krispy Kreme.
Pull apart doughnuts are a limited time thing that they’ll start selling on September 1st.
But, why wait. Make your own doughnuts in any stuck together shape you want. Here’s a instructional video on how to make great glazed doughnuts at home.
