Alex Trebek’s legacy continues to live on with one of the last big acts of kindness he did shortly before he passed away. Last November, while he had his own battle raging with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he and his wife donated half a million dollars to Hope Of The Valley Rescue Mission. The money is going towards a housing facility with 107 rooms for those in need, social services, mental health and addiction services, and, get this, a roller skating rink. The Trebek Center recently broke ground with construction underway.
The show made a $250,000 donation as well.
