Normally when I’m considering what to talk about, believe me when I say that a story about Condor birds wouldn’t normally be on my radar.
However, this is scientifically amazing and might, on a gender related level, be interesting to the large number of lady listeners we have.
Condors in California do NOT need a male to make babies.
The San Diego Zoo has been testing Condor DNA for decades and recently started doing a genetic analysis. They found eggs that didn’t have any genetic material from the supposed dad Condors who were living in the nest. The eggs were turning into embryos without being fertilized.
Jenny and I started watching the HULU show “Y: The Last Man” last night. In the show, every man on Earth mysteriously die all at once. This morning I read about these Condors. Coincidence?
