In Nebraska, when it starts getting colder, we prepare for icy roads, cancellations, and some downed power lines.
In Egypt, when it gets colder, they have to prepare for scorpions attacking everyone. Seriously.
Storms and snow in Egypt last week caused tons of scorpions and snake to come out in full force leading to the deaths of at least three people and hundreds of others being attacked. It got so bad that people were told to stay in their homes, doctors were called back from vacations to treat stings, and highways were closed.
Million dollar idea: The scorpion plow. It’d be just like a snow plow, but made to pick up scorpions. It couldn’t just push them off to the shoulder of the road though, because they’d probably just get mad and come running back wanting to sting more people. It’d have to scoop them up like a vacuum into a big truck bed. Where would you put them after it’s full? I’m going to have to think this through.
