Yesterday I talked about the giant blue sapphire. Here’s another story about an expensive rock. But it’s nor expensive for the reasons you’re thinking. It’s not beautiful or a giant karat size. It’s volcanic rock that might fetch $10,000 because it looks like Cookie Monster.
It’s simple old volcanic rock that you pretty much pay pennies on the pound for, except that this particular rock looks like a blue face with googly eyes and a big “Nom Nom Nom” smile.
The guy who owns it has been getting offers. That 10k isn’t speculation. People, out of the blue, have called and offered him that much for the Muppet looking mineral.
