This week’s inspiring story is about the joy that the simple things in life can bring. In this case, it’s about what Lisa McDonald did for her severely ill mother who has been bed ridden for a long time.
Her mother is a big fan of Disney’s Bambi, the actual deer. She’s collected shirts, statues, and other memorabilia. With this in mind, Lisa and her sister contacted a couple who own a petting zoo where they have deer, including one named Bambi. The couple were more than happy to bring Bambi on a 2 hour drive to make an appearance right at Lisa’s mom’s beside. You can see the amazement and perhaps some childlike wonder in her eyes as she gets to pet Bambi and forget, for the moment, her own pain.
