I tracked down some family friendly and fun Irish themed movies to share to watch on St. Patty’s Day. There’s the 1959 Disney movie “Darby O’ Gill and The Little People”. It’s about a guy who tricks Leprechauns into giving him wishes. Bonus, it’s has a young Sean Connery singing. Speaking of singing. There’s “The Commitments” about some Dublin musicians trying to form a soul band. “Waking Ned Devine” is an Irish comedy about a small town and lottery winnings. And then there’s the rom com “Leap Year” that stars Amy Adams. It’s more Americanized, but she travels to Ireland and falls in love with a different guy than she intended.
