Guess how much the average amount of money an A- lister, like Tom Cruise or Jennifer Lawrence, spends on their look just for that night? $50 thousand? A million? According to Wallet Hub’s 2022 Oscars By The Numbers report, it’s $10 million. I double checked the website, thinking I misread. Nope. Ten million. In 2014, Kate Blanchett’s outfit alone was valued at $18 million. Although, when it comes to their outfits and accessories, I’m sure the numbers are inflated for the night to try to make the designers seem more important. A number that seems more realistic is the cost of the red carpet at just under $25,000. There’s a lot of it, 50 thousand square feet. That’s more believable to me.
