Study shows better mental health by taking cooking classes.

By Austin Michael Mar 28, 2022 | 6:55 PM

Something that I think I’ve always subconsciously known………. Taking cooking courses has a great effect on your mental health and overall well-being. A study in Australia found that people taking cooking classes significantly improved their mental health, physical health, confidence, and life satisfaction. The people in the study took seven, 90 minute cooking courses. Each week they learned new recipes, methods, utensil handling skills like knives, and even things like food budgeting.

And to be honest, scientists think it might not be that it was a cooking class. It might have been more from just being a part of a group and doing things together. The participants continued to show improved stats months after the course was concluded.
