Here’s a story that I saw last night. Then Jenny and I discussed how this even came to happen and then was allowed to continue happening. An aspiring rapper, who is well known in D.C., was murdered. So his family rented out a nightclub and billed the night as this guy’s final performance. Then, while another guy performed………as tons of people showed up and danced and drank and partied, they put the guy’s embalmed body on stage where everyone could see him. Someone took a video. I watched it. Nobody seems freaked out. Also, I’m not sure how many people realized that it was an actual body on stage.
The night club says they didn’t know this was the plan and they’ve apologized. I’m inclined to believe them. I’m sure they thought it was just another event rental. Although, I will note that the club did say that they were contacted by the funeral home to rent the club. That might have caused me to ask a couple of extra questions.
