Kraft is changing the name and box of “Macaroni and Cheese” after 85 years.

After 85 years and thousands of boxes passing through my kitchen, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese is changing its name. Will it finally be rightfully known as “Dîner Des Dieux”?

That’s French for Dinner Of The Gods.

Unfortunately no. In fact, it’s not even much of a change. It will now be called “Kraft Mac and Cheese” instead of macaroni. The logo is slightly changing too. Now that single noodle that is under the name has a drip coming off of it. It’s supposed to look like a drop of cheese, but I think it was better without it. I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something off about that drip. One other change is that the bottom of the boxes will be different colors to reflect whether it’s original flavor, orange, spirals, teal, or creamy which has more of a reddish orange color.

They say they changed the name to “Mac and Cheese” because it reflects how people talk. Which is true. I can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone say they were going to eat Macaroni and Cheese.
