Face masks that actively kill bacteria and viruses are on the way.

Researchers have developed face masks that kill germs and fight viruses. Which begs the question of why wasn’t this kind of mask a priority to begin with?

Normal masks stop droplets with virus in them. Almost all have to be washed or tossed after getting in contact with a virus. Not these. They built in nanomaterials that can deactivate viruses. Materials like copper. They can also build in long chain molecules with positive charges that mess up cell membranes to kill bacteria and viruses. That method is especially effective in not disrupting your ability to breathe.

I don’t think you’ll be able to get this with your cloth masks or even the simple paper medical masks. Right now they’re only applying it to the N95 masks that also have filters. I’d love one of these right now consider Jenny has Covid and I’m still testing negative. It’s come down to me living in the basement while she has the upstairs this week.
