National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore has been working on his Photo Ark project for several years, with the goal to photographically document all animal species before they disappear. We are lucky to not only have had this project start right here at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo, but to count Joel as a native Nebraskan! You can learn more about the Photo Ark here. Because I love to share videos and photos of cute animals, and greatly enjoy Joel’s education of the world’s animals with the Photo Ark project, here’s a couple of sloths hugging!
Two brown-throated sloths hug each other during a Photo Ark shoot. Even if they aren’t related, orphaned baby sloths like these two are kept together in pairs to comfort each other after losing their mothers. #sloths #babies #orphan #cute #wildlife #video #PhotoArk pic.twitter.com/MADoGC4P3w
