Start hoarding chocolate. The world’s biggest chocolate factory just closed down after finding salmonella in the chocolate. They supply chocolate to 75 of the world’s biggest companies like Hershey and Nestle. They don’t know when they’ll open up again, just “until further notice”. So, I’m guessing that there will be a shortage. This particular factory sold more than 2 million tons of chocolate last year.
The normal bags of something like Hershey Bars are, on average, around 10.5 ounces each.
I used to eat a handful of M&Ms every night. Jenny even bought me a candy dispenser that I just put my hand under and it drops them in it. That was before the price jumped up to 4 or 5 dollars for an 11 ounce bag. They used to be $2.50. So, I quit and don’t eat a lot of chocolate anymore. It was probably sending my cholesterol through the roof anyway. Fun fact, chocolate can make you acid reflux really act up too because of the caffeine.
It looks like you can grow your own chocolate at home. Looks like I might be starting a chocolate garden.
