In some intriguingly creepy news, an article in Health Digest is reporting the things most people say shortly before they die. They interviewed Dr. Simran Malhotra who is a leading hospice care specialist. She says that most of the elderly patients say that they’re at peace and they’ve had a good life. Not surprisingly, she says most of the younger ones say that they’re not ready to die and that they have much more living to do. Dr. Malhotra says that she often asks patients two questions. One is “What brings you joy.” The other is “What is most important to you?” She says she gets a variety of responses except when it comes to regrets. The regrets boil down to not having spent enough time with loved ones, spending too much time at work, and not trying hard enough to do what they wanted to truly do to make themselves happier.
There’s much more to the article. Like I said, it’s oddly intriguing and can be looked at to learn how to live a little better.
