May your holidays be filled with love, cheer, and cocktails that taste like waffles. Kellogg’s has turned Eggos into a holiday liqueur. They’ve teamed up with a company called Sugarlands that puts out all sorts of flavored booze that tastes like everything from strawberries to peanut butter and jelly. The new Eggo flavored drink is more of an egg nog. Ingredients include cream, rum, cinnamon, and nutmeg. They say it tastes just like an Eggo waffle. It kind of sounds like Rumchata with nutmeg sprinkle in.
Of course, it’s one of those limited supply items. I went to Sugarlands website to see where you can buy a bottle. It pings the Hy-Vee on North 27, Wall to Wall Wine next door to it, and The Still. I’d call and double check before making the trip.
While we’re talking waffle flavored drinks, if you ever get the chance to taste a beer called Death By Flapjacks, do so. It tastes like maple at first, then has an after taste of pancakes. I’m not a beer person. I just don’t like beer, except for Death By Flapjacks. It’s seasonal for something like 3 months out of the year.
