No one was hurt when fire broke out around 10:45 Sunday morning near 47th and Cleveland. “On arrival we did see fire coming from the roof vent of a six unit apartment building,” says LFR Captain Nancy Crist.
She says a malfunctioning heating unit sparked the fire, which caused damage to the roof and attic. She says the fire caused $50,000 damage to the building and $25,000 to the contents..
Two residents of the apartment were displaced and will have to find another place to live.
