Do you like Sierra Mist? If so, you’re in the minority. It only brought in one-tenth of a percent of all Pepsi product sales. So, Pepsi has officially discontinued Sierra Mist. However, they’ve already got a replacement called Starry. It’s another lemon lime citrus drink, like Sierra Mist was.
I can’t say I love the name Starry. But the logo is actually kind of fun looking. It’s got a bit of a retro cartoon/ graffiti feel to it. I don’t think it’s available yet, but I did find a video of a blogger that Pepsi sent a “test” case of the sodas to. He gives a run down on the flavor saying it’s more carbonated with a stronger lemon lime flavor to it.
Sierra Mist will have a lot of company in the discontinued soda bin: Berries and Cream Dr. Pepper, Sprite Remix, Coca Cola Black, New Coke, Hubba Bubba Soda, 7-Up Gold, Pepsi Blue and sooooooo many others.
