Here’s some suggestions for movies to watch for St. Patty’s day.
— “The Commitments” from 1991. It’s a feel good about Irish musicians who want to sing soul music.
— “The Banshees of Inisherin” which just came out last year. It stars Colin Ferrel as a guy who’s best friend ups and tells him he doesn’t want anything to do with Colin anymore. It’s a dramedy set in Ireland.
—- There’s the star studded, but not so family friendly “The Departed” with Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and Leonardo DiCaprio based on the real mob life of Whitey Bulger who was Irish.
—- See a very young “Jennifer Aniston” in the original Leprechaun horror movie. It’s terrible, but kind of fun/ funny after a few green cocktails.
—- Or for just the kids, there’s “The Luck Of The Irish” about a teen basketball player who happens to be part Leprechaun. It’s streaming on Disney Plus right now.
