Fire broke out in house near 49th and Leighton Avenue just after 6 p.m. Thursday. There was heavy smoke coming from the house when firefighters arrived.
There were no reports of any injuries and the cause and damage amount is not yet known. Crews were on the scene until about 8 p.m.
