Woman brings smiles to community with tiny turtles.

By Austin Michael Jun 22, 2023 | 7:55 PM

A woman in Cheyenne, Wyoming is spreading smiles by leaving tiny turtles for people. They’re not real turtles. She buys cute little turtle replicas from Amazon. Then she hides them in public places for people to find. She calls them Positivi-turtles. Jenn Ellis is the woman’s name. Jenn says she got the idea after seeing a Tik Tok video of a girl who was hiding little ducks around the house for her boyfriend to find. Jenn decided to go bigger with the idea. She says, “ “The world has so much negativity at times, and it’s so easy to get caught up and wrapped up in that,” she told Cowboy State Daily. “These little things take your mind off it, even if just for a second.” It’s go so much attention that people in Cheyenne look forward to finding them and Jenn posts hints about where they’re hidden on Facebook.

I don’t know if this is a thing everywhere, but my in laws in Rhode Island have Jeeps as do a lot of people there. They all anonymously leave rubber ducks on each other’s Jeeps, friends and strangers. I never got a good explanation about why.
