A man wanted for violating a protection order didn’t go quietly when Narcotics Task Force investigators spotted his car parked in a lot near 11th and Saunders last night. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the Jaguar XF was registered to 24 year old Riley Pluta.
“Investigators parked unmarked police cars behind the Jaguar and attempted to take Riley into custody,” Vollmer says. When Puta saw the officers he backed into their vehicles. Vollmer says he then drove forward to get away and crashed into a building.
The car was totaled and Pluta was taken into custody. He was taken to the Lancaster County Jail and booked for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and for the previous protection order.
