The Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska National Guard have announced a partnership that will help soldiers completing their military service continue to serve the public as Nebraska State Troopers.
Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol Colonel John Bolduc and Adjutant General of the Nebraska National Guard Brigadier General Craig Strong, signed a memorandum of participation in the U.S. Army PaYS (Partnership for Your Success) program.
The PaYS program helps current soldiers of the U.S. Army, including the Army National Guard and Army Reserve, prepare for a career following their military service. This partnership will allow the State Patrol to work alongside U.S. Army recruiters to make connections with soldiers who desire to continue serving the public after they complete their service in the Army.
“This agreement will help us recruit the next generation of troopers as we connect with soldiers looking for a career of making a difference in communities across Nebraska,” said Colonel Bolduc.
The signing ceremony featured a joint Color Guard consisting of troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Honor Guard and cadets from the University of Nebraska Army ROTC Color Guard. Several troopers were also recognized for their simultaneous service as members of the Nebraska National Guard.
