Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch in Blair, Nebraska has been named one of the Top 25 Pumpkin Patches In The Country. They’ve been given this honor by Pioneer Woman’s website. They note that Skinny Bones has lots of attractions like a giant sandbox that is filled with corn and the Eerie Trail. Looking over their website, I see a big corn maze, lots of rides, a market, and a giant slide. Skinny Bones is just 8 miles north of Omaha. Ticket prices look fairly cheap too, 14 to 23 dollars depending on what day you stop by. They’ll be open through October 31st.
Pioneer Woman’s list of Top 25 Pumpkin Patches also listed Granny May’s Pumpkin Patch down the road in Dorrance, Kansas. Their website says it’s closed for the 2023 season due to drought. However, if it were open, Pioneer Woman likes the variety of pumpkins they have there, every shape, size, and color. Speaking of, there are more than 25 types of pumpkins. I learned that while visiting the site. I’m digging the Jarrahdale pumpkin. It’s blue and the part you eat is sweet. Nummy.
