Lincoln Police say one man was killed and another injured following a crash involving two motorcycles near 84th and ‘A’ Street Sunday evening.  Captain Todd Kocian says officers arrived and found one motorcycle rider in the street and the other on a sidewalk.

He says the preliminary investigation shows a 2008 Harley Davidson driven by 50-year-old Jason Colby of Walton was eastbound on ‘A’ Street when it collided with the other motorcycle, which was also heading east.  Colby was pronounced dead at the scene. The 67-year-old driver of the other motorcycle suffered non-life threatening injuries.

“The surviving driver had just go onto ‘A’ Street and was struck in the rear by the other motorcycle,” Kocian says.  The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call LPD’s non-emergency number at 402-441-6000 or, if you would like to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
