Lincoln Police have released the name of the man killed in a two vehicle crash Monday afternoon at 20th and Nebraska Parkway. Investigators say Ryley Costello was on 20th Street and tried to turn eastbound onto Nebraska Parkway around 2:00.
Costello’s car was then struck on the drivers side by a westbound pickup driven by a 38-year-old man from Crete. Lincoln Fire & Rescue personnel took both drivers to a local hospital. Costello died from his injuries at the hospital. The driver of the pickup truck was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
LPD says drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The investigation is continuing. Anyone who saw the crash or has information can call LPD’s non-emergency number at 402-441-6000 or if you would like to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
