I shared an experimental recipe for leftover Turkey a couple weeks ago. It was “Turkey Enchiladas” where I made cranberry sauce spicy, used leftover Thanksgiving Day turkey, and threw a few nontraditional items into the mix. That recipe got noticed, shared, garnered and tons of views, shares, and comments………….. but not quite in the way I would want. A friend told me it showed up on the Facebook group called “White People Making Mexican Food”.
Even though it’s a page where they make fun of what they consider “food fails”, I think it’s kind of awesome. Alot of people actually stood up for the recipe. One guy suggested using my spicy cranberry sauce in the Mexican dish called mole. Someone wrote “innovation”. Others pointed out other ways to make turkey enchiladas.
Then there were the other comments………. Some of which made me laugh out loud. Comments like, “Dr. Frankenstein was experimenting”, “It’s making my eyes burn”, and “ I’d like a crime scene with cheese please.”
