KFC has come up with a weird combination of foods that I would have eventually gotten to in my test kitchen, Chizza. Think of a mix between fried chicken and pizza. But don’t think of fried chicken on a pizza crust like a taco pizza. That’s too easy. It’s 2 fried chicken filets AS the crust. They top the filets with pepperoni, marinara, and mozzarella cheese.
It’ll be available for a limited time in U.S. KFCs next Monday. It’s not new though. KFCs all over the world have had the chance to munch on these for years now.
These Chizzas look tasty. I’d love to try to make them at home, but neither Jenny nor I have been able to replicate that crunchy breading finish that’s on KFC chicken. It’s like my white whale of cooking……. Or, maybe, my white chicken. And instead of a wooden leg, I’d have a chicken leg. Herman Melville is spinning in his grave right now.
