Enough with shrinkflation already. One of my favorite bags of snacks has gone from 11 ounces to 8.3 recently after the price went from around $2 to over $5 in the last year and a half.
It’s a game of “Let’s pretend”. Let’s pretend we’re not eating 2 bags at a sitting now. Let’s pretend I’m full. Even Muppets are tired of it.

Yeah. Me too! Oreo Double Stuf cookies shrank by 6% by weight between 2019 and 2023. When was the last time you saw an actual gallon of ice cream? Years. Most cans of tuna are 4 or 5 ounces, and ounce of that is oil or water. They used to be 6 or 7 ounces about a decade ago.
Cookie Monster, you’re welcome to come over and have some any time you’d like. I’ll just have to readjust my recipes to account for the smaller bags of flower and chocolate chips. I’ll probably have to milk my own cow and churn the butter to bring the prices down.
Me hate shrinkflation! Me cookies are getting smaller. 😔
