Space VIP is taking it up a notch by offering a ride to and a meal at the edge of space inside of a luxury space capsule. It has fully padded chairs with drink holders built in. Although, I don’t think you’ll be using the fine crystal glasses. Without gravity you’ll need lids and special straws. And the food will be catered by a Michelin star restaurant. They plan on a six hour flight that starts at dusk and ends with a view of the sun rising over the edge of Earth. The capsule seats 6 at only $495,000 per person. I should also mention that it takes you up attached to a giant balloon and not a rocket.
If you can’t afford a real trip to to eat in space, Disney has a restaurant called Space 220. You eat in a large dining room that is surrounded by windows that simulate a panoramic view into space. On your way to the dining room they even have a spot where it simulates a ride up a space elevator tethered to Earth, visually and sound wise.
