101 year old Lila Tomek from Omaha received the Congressional Medal Of Honor this afternoon. She’s one of the few remaining women who worked in factories helping the war effort during World War 2. Lila helped build fighter planes in 1942. She made a whopping 19 cents an hour for it. Lila was also one of the women who helped get the Enola Gay ready to fly to Japan where it dropped an atomic bomb.

Mike Johnson presented Lila with the award in Washington D.C. It was streamed by PBS.
