All Recipes dot Com released its list of “Most Popular 4th of July Recipes For Each State”. For Nebraska, they say it’s S’mores Ice Cream Pie.
That’s the first time I’ve heard of such a thing in my decades of being a Nebraskan. In fact, I can’t remember a time that anyone I’ve known has made an ice cream pie instead of buying one from a grocery store.
That said, I reviewed the recipe and it’s easy enough that anyone could make it in about 10 minutes. It’s basically a graham cracker crust that you slap chocolate ice cream in and top with marshmallows that you toast with a little propane cooking torch. I bet you could do it with a lighter or grill starter if you wanted.
