The Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest that’s held every 4th of July……….. the hot dog eating contest where people stuff dozens of dogs down their throats super-fast………. Is now embroiled in controversy. Nick Wehry, a guy with a multi colored Mohawk and really big biceps, has been accused of cheating.
Yes, cheating at swallowing hot dogs. How does that even work? Was he doing that thing where you put your hand on one side of your mouth while you magically stuff something in there, all the while you’re actually just pushing it over your shoulder? Did he keep fake hot dogs up a sleeve? And if he cheated, he kind of sucks at it because he came in fourth.
He’s accused of stealing an empty plate from another contestant. Apparently, judges give each contestant credit for eating 5 dogs for every empty plate. You know, instead of actually watching and counting…… I guess.
Nick has denied the allegations.
By the way, his final tally was 57.75 hotdogs. The way I see it, after the first 45, you’re just showing off. I want to see a contest where they have to each hot dogs with Mac and Cheese, a box of it paired with every 5 dogs.
