The fridge is the last place I’d decorate… but by all means, knock yourself out because this looks very homey, creative, and fun!
This is a trend that’s been popping up on IG and TikTok. The trend? Fridgescaping! Lol.
Fridgescaping is decorating the inside of your refrigerator with flowers, framed photos, antique butter dishes/glasses, or decorating to a theme.
It’s all about making an everyday space feel special.
If you’re a big fan of Bridgerton, turn your Shiver Daddy😆 into… a Fridgerton.
If you’re a Husker fan, turn your Food Tomb😆 into… a Husk-erator.
Feel inspired? Lol. If so, here’s some tips (see examples below):
- Keep it both charming and functional (depending on your theme)
- Stick to one container style for easy stacking
- Use dry-erase markers for labeling
- If you’re adding vintage items make sure they’re food-safe.
The trend was coined in 2011 by Kathy Perdue, a retired design consultant based in California. She wrote a blog about it which was a riff on “tablescaping.”
As of late, the trend has gained popularity thanks to another trend… grandmacore👵👴.
