The Pumpkin Spice craziness has begun for the year. M&Ms now come as Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Pie. I’ll admit, that sounds delicious. But, M&Ms has a terrible record when it comes to adding flavors. The caramel sounded great on paper. It doesn’t taste like caramel in a candy shell. And about every other flavor from mint to Orange cream either tastes like a chemical or as my wife likes to say, “Like cough syrup.”
Some people say this pumpkin version has notes of pumpkin, nutmeg, and cinnamon. There’s a review that says, “It makes me want to try an actual chocolate pumpkin pie.” I say, it’d probably be cheaper……… and less like cough syrup.
By the way, I noticed several stores in Lincoln were already stocking Halloween candy 3 weeks ago. They literally went from Independence Day to Halloween. They know that no keeps candy in the house for nearly 4 months without eating it all and having to buy more.
