Spooky Season is officially here as it’s now October! Best month ever.

If your little one wants to be a future first responder, then this event will be perfect for them!

In collaboration with the Lincoln City Council, the Lincoln Police Department and Lincoln Fire & Rescue are hosting a Halloween-themed event for children on Thursday, October 24. The “Halloween Swearing-In” will give kids a chance to dress up like their favorite police officer or firefighter, and meet them too!

The free event will take place at Station 15 at 6601 Pine Lake Road. Station 15 is a joint police and fire facility. There will be equipment displays from both departments, there will be fire engines and police cruisers for kids to crawl into, and there will be photo opportunities with Fire Chief Dave Engler and Police Chief Michon Morrow!

There’s two sessions: the first is from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and the second is from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. During each session, the kiddos will be sworn in by city council members who’ll officially welcome them to their respective departments!

You’ll need to RSVP before attending. GO HERE to RSVP and for more info.
