Tailgate Recipe – Beer Crust Pizza

For this week’s tailgate recipe, we’re combing 2 things that are almost always together on game day, pizza and beer. Except, for this, the beer is in the pizza crust. And as always, this is pretty easy to throw together. Here’s what you need:

  • 2 1/2 c. AP Flour
  • 1 tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Backyard Burger Blend (Whatever you like in your burgers)
  • 8 oz. Beer
  • 1 tsp. Ultimate Slice
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil

 

Then there’s some stirring, spreading, and baking. You’ll have it wrapped up in half an hour. A little longer if you haven’t prepped the toppings.

For Making the Dough

  1. Sift all dry ingredients into medium sized mixing bowl.
  2. Slowly add Beer. Mix until evenly incorporated. Form into ball.
  3. Rest for 10 minutes.

For Cooking

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Stretch to desired size. (I cut the dough in half and made 2 pizzas)
  3. Drizzle light coat of Olive Oil onto Crust and poke with fork multiple times.
  4. Place on Pizza Stone, Baking Sheet, or Pizza Sheet. Bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Pull and add desired toppings and sprinkle with Ultimate Slice. Place back in oven for 10 minutes.
