Burger King will be serving hamburgers inside of purple colored buns. At first I thought they finally took off the marketing gloves and are going to serve Grimace Burgers. If you’ve seen the stuff they put on “X” to poke fun at the other burger places, you’d know it’s only a matter of time.
But no. This is part of the new Addams Family menu items. The purple bun burger was inspired by Wednesday Addams. It’s basically a whopper in a bun that gets its color from a purple potato. There’s also the Gomez Churro Fries and Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake which has pieces of a purple cookie in them. There are also new kids meal toys based on The Addams Family.
Those are all nice, but I’m waiting for the Cousin It burger. It’s more of a small slider, but instead of a bun, it comes wrapped in a bunch of wet dog hair. People say it’s better than White Castle.
