People’s City Mission is hosting their annual Santa’s Workshop Christmas Toy Giveaway for families in need on Saturday, December 14th.
During this event, families in need at the shelter and in the public can shop for free for Christmas gifts for their kids. All the toys are donated by individuals, businesses, and organizations from around the Lincoln area, and free gift wrapping will also be provided.
This year, People’s City Mission anticipates this shop will help over 5,000 people, including shelter guests and low-income families who shop at their Help Center.
Anyone who would like to donate a new toy or gift can bring them to the Help Center at 6800 P St. or the PCM Shelter at 110 Q St. The deadline to participate in donating is any time before December 14th. PCM is also accepting gift wrapping donations.
If you or someone you know is struggling this season, contact the Help Center at 402-475-6888 for more information. Shoppers will need a Clarity card to participate. Clarity cards can be obtained at the Help Center on Tuesdays from 9-11 am, no appointment necessary.
