Ringo Starr says he’s never eaten pizza. When I first heard this, I thought, “He’s just trying to get attention. Those Beatles are always saying crazy stuff like that. Just like that time they tried to convince us that there was a woman wearing diamonds and flying around above our heads.” I was wrong.
Ringo was on Kimmel last week and told Jimmy that he’s never had curry either. He continued, “I’m allergic to several items. With pizza, you don’t know what you’re putting in it half the time, or the curry. So I’m pretty strict with myself ’cause it makes me ill immediately.”
After hearing that, I thought, “There, but for the grace of God.” One you’ve had great pizza, it’s hard to imagine that you won’t ever have it again.
Just last week, someone who is lactose intolerant was telling me that they’ll still eat…….. I can’t remember what the dairy product is, but they said they will eat it and take on the after effects because it’s worth it. I think that would be pizza for me if I were in their shoes. Pizza……. And cheese……. And……. tacos…….. and……… heck there’s a ton of stuff I’m not technically supposed to be eating because of acid reflux, but I do anyway. I’m food weak.
By the way, Ringo was literally the spokesman for Pizza Hut’s stuffed crust pizza back in 1995. He never had a single bite.
