From now on, if you buy M&Ms, save the receipt. They’ve got a new loyalty program where you earn points and possibly free stuff. After you build a profile, you get points by scanning your receipts. You can also do challenges at the site to earn points or share their stuff on social media. This kind of sounds just like the old Coca Cola loyalty program. They’d have you watch commercial and take quizzes to get extras. Friends and family would save their Coke points and bottle caps for me. I got a lot of free stuff.
Back to the M&Ms, I went to their Fun Club site to check out the prizes. There are candles that smell like various M&M flavors, mugs, a chance to win a getaway to New York, hats, and more. Not too shabby as far as prizes go.
Speaking of, who remembers Kool Aid points? I used to cut those little square things off the back of packets and kept them in a plastic bag in a kitchen drawer. I still have a glass pitcher with the Kool Aid Man’s face on it. In fact, I kept them around for years after they closed their club just in case they restarted it. No such luck.
