You know the Barbie Ambassador dolls that Mattel has put out over the last few years? They feature specific careers or people to inspire girls. Well, now they’re using Ken to help girls AND boys dream big. It’s no longer “just Ken”. The first ever Ken-Bassador Doll is the LeBron Ken Doll that was released today.
The LeBron doll is wearing sunglasses, headphones, and a letterman’s jacket with his number 23 on it. His t-shirt says “We Are Family” which is a nod to his LeBron James Family Foundation. The shoes are blue Nikes.
LeBron is hyped about his version of a Ken Doll saying, “As a young kid, I was fortunate to have role models who not only inspired me but also showed me what’s possible through hard work and dedication. Now, as an adult, I understand how vital it is for young people to have positive figures to look up to. That’s why partnering with Barbie to release the LeBron James Kenbassadors doll is such an honor.”
Oddly enough, even the doll version of LeBron dunks better than me.
