Minecraft is getting a sequel. Warner Brothers announced that yesterday. And that’s just the beginning of the sequel gravy train for the studio. They’ve decided to give The Matrix a part 5 even though the last one was kind of terrible. And trust me, I looooooove The Matrix. But, part 4 felt like they made it up as they went along. It bombed in theaters too. But the studio is blaming that on the pandemic.
Another Beetlejuice has been confirmed. So has another Gremlins. And because Hollywood studios seem to lack souls, they say a Goonies sequel is in the works. Why mess with perfection? There is no better delivered line in the history of cinema than……… “Rocky Road”. Why Sloth didn’t get an Oscar, I’ll never know.
We can look forward to more Practical Magic is on the way either as a series or film. That was the 1998 movie that starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
But wait, there’s more. On top of all of these, we’ll also get some kind of follow up to The Bodyguard.
