Cooking like I was was 5 again!

You can feel like a kid again, just like I did with what I cooked up Friday night.

For a few months, I’ve wondered aloud to Jenny, “What would a Grilled Cheese sandwich full of actual Mac N Cheese taste like?” She always replied something like go ahead, but leave me out of it. So, I made some mac n cheese, buttered some bread, grabbed a slice of American cheese, and threw it all together on some heat.

Another thing I’ve been asking myself has been, “What if I cut up some andouille sausage and toss it in with Spaghettios?” It’s because I can’t find any cans of Spaghettios With Franks anymore.

So, while the Grilled Mac N Cheese sandwich was cooking, I was also heating up the Spaghettios with Andouille. It was just as good as the franks!

But there’s a trick. You need to let it boil a bit and reduce the….. whatever Spaghettios sauce is. It needs to thicken a bit to be more like the franks’ sauce and let the andouille grease mix in.

It was a delicious success! I’ll use led macaroni next time. But overall, I was transformed into a young me every time I dipped a corner of the sandwich into the Spaghettios and took a bite.
