Everyone who’s been lucky enough to have a radio show has a story about crazy people they don’t know coming up to them without regard for personal space. My favorite story happened today. I’ll set the scene.
So, I was standing there naked this afternoon when a guy I didn’t know approached me.
I go to the gym over lunch every day. Today, I had just stepped out of the shower and was at my locker about to get dressed. That’s when this gentleman came up and asked if I work in radio.
So I pulled towel back up to my waist, double checked to make sure he didn’t have a cloth full of chloroform in his hand, and replied. “Yes.” Then he asked if I know Tim who used to be part of the Tim And Animal morning show on The Blaze. I took a step back, looked for an exit, and again said, “Yes”.
Turns out he’s Tim’s brother. So we had a good 5 minute conversation while I was in nothing but a towel from the waist down.
I also messaged Tim, “Just met your brother. I was naked. I’ll leave it at that.” He wrote back, “More film at 11.”
And that’s what life is like in radio.
Also, I think you’ll understand why I’m not including pictures or video with this blog.
