A group of scientists say they’re about to grow some T-Rex………. Skin. Just the skin, not the whole dinosaur. Oh, so maybe they’re researching what colors dinosaurs were and how that helped them survive and………… what? That’s not the reason? They’re doing it so that they can make dinosaur purses. Got it.
Yep. They’re taking all that intricate skill and knowledge so that J-lo can accessorize with a T-Rex clutch at next year’s Met Gala or something like that. They’re talking purses, belts, coats, you name it.
Somehow they’re able to use T-Rex fossils to grow dinosaur skin in a lab. They say it’ll be just like regular leather.
They haven’t said how soon it’ll be ready, but other scientists are skeptical saying that it’ll probably have to be T-Rex genes mixed with something else, meaning it won’t be a truly T-Rex skin.
That said, the company doing this, Lab Grown Leather, has their sights set on other dinosaurs too.
