This is every parent’s nightmare. A 2 year old fell from the 15th floor of a Maryland apartment building yesterday. But it became every parent’s greatest relief……….. the kid survived. I’m not sure how he got to the point of falling. The balcony doesn’t have a guard rail, but it does have those glass barriers that go from the floor to about 3 feet and surrounds the whole balcony. First responders are saying that he survived because of his light weight and he landed in some bushes and on a new pile of soft mulch. As of now, he has serious injuries, but is expected to make it. 2 years old and a 15 story fall.
No joke. Just last Sunday I tripped on carpeted stairs at home and fell. I was close to the bottom, so it was only 3 stairs. It was like adding 1 foot to me just falling over at my height. Yet, it messed up my right foot pretty good. I’m still not walking right. If I had fallen from 15 stories, I would have made my peace after passing the 14th floor. I’m glad he’s okay and prayers for his family.
